Abstract The article examines the teaching and importance of the names of geographical objects located on the territory of Uzbekistan in the modern educational process. The study of these terms in the field and their application in different ways and means will be discussed in detail. The fact that the names of geographical objects in the field are the basis for deciding whether to allow the use of official names in cartography and documentation implies the need for an objective approach to these names. The target article also analyzes the formation of the names of geographical objects, as well as their archiving; registration of toponyms is becoming an important source of national culture.
