Methods Extraction of metformin from urine samples was done by Dilute and shoot method in which urine was diluted up to 1:10 ratio to avoid interference of matrix. For estimation of Metformin hydrochloride, the solvent system employed was water. The metformin hydrochloride was scanned in range of 200nm to 400 nm and wavelength of detection (λdet) was found to be 234 nm. Result The calibration curve was linear in the range of 1-17 μg/ml. the recovery and assay studies of metformin hydrochloride were within 93-94.85% indicating that the proposed method can be estimation of metformin hydrochloride Top Keywords Metformin Hydrochloride, UV Spectrophotometer, Urine, Bioanalytical.
