Online published on 28 May, 2014. Abstract Complete denture prosthesis aims at the satisfactory restoration of these lost functions by replacing the lost teeth and other associated structures. An important step in complete denture construction is correct recording of the various jaw relations. One of the important jaw relations to be restored is the vertical relation of occlusion. A study was conducted on rest position of mandible which showed that the values of mandibular rest position with dentures was greater than the same value without denture in all cases both clinically as well as cephalometrically. When these clinical and cephalometric differences were plotted on graph, the relationship between two differences was close to linear one.
