Abstract

Distribution pattern of cotton leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida) was investigated on okra cultivars. There were significant differences on the density of pest population at three stages of crop growth i.e. 30, 45 and 60 day old crop. The population density was higher (0.57–4.16 nymphs/adults per leaf) during summer 2005 as compared to summer 2006 (0.19–1.60 nymphs/adults per leaf). The peak population was noticed on 45 day old crop and lowest being on 60 day old crop in both the years. The spatial distribution pattern of population of cotton leafhopper was expressed a regular throughout the investigation period in both the years.
