Inheritance Studies of Seed-Coat Colour in Cowpea, V1Gna Sinensis Richharia R. H., Roy R. S. Agricultural Research Institute, Botanical Section, Sabour, Bihar. Summary The paper deals with the inheritance studies of seed-coat colour in cow-pea, Vigna sinensis. The parents used were the two established varieties viz., T2 with black seed-coat colour and T3 with red seed-coat colour. The F1 showed dominance of black seed-coat and from F2 segregation the inheritance was observed to be monogenic which was confirmed by studies from later generations. Top | |
