Abstract Field experiments were conducted in ICAR-CPRS, Muthorai, Ooty during 2012–14 to find out the influence of antagonism of marigold and radish crops on potato cyst nematodes, Globodera spp. Potato varieties Kufri Jyoti was grown as sole and intercrop with marigold and radish in the ratio of 1: 1, 2: 1 in rows and 1: 1 within rows with in RBD. The experimental results indicated that the population of potato cyst nematodes was significantly less in 2: 1 ratio of potato and radish (Rf: 0.99). The potato equivalent yield (PEY) was found (29.66 t/ha) at (1: 1) ratio of Kufri Jyoti with intercrop Radish (within row intercropping). Top Keywords Potato, globodera sp., radish, marigold, Rf and PEY. Top |
