Abstract The aim of this study is to measure the effectiveness of an educational program on knowledge of caregivers about psychosocial problems of patients with epilepsy. A quasi-experimental design is carried out throughout the application of test-retest approach of pre-test, post test 1 and post test Π for the study and control groups from 3th June to 16th Sep. 2018. A purposive (non-probability) sample of (26) caregiver's of patient with epilepsy as a study group and (30) as a control group. the data was collected through the use of unstructured interview by using questionnaire, consist of 1-covering letters to obtain the agreements of caregivers, 2-demographic information: (Socio-demographic characteristics. this part consists of (10) items about caregivers and (4) items about patients, 3-include three domains: 1-Questions about epilepsy, 2-Psychological problems, 3-Social problems. Content validity of the questionnaire is determined through the panel of (15) experts. The findings of the present study reveals that the changing in the knowledge of caregivers over time is very high (0.50). also the change of knowledge between the study and control group in per, post and post 2 test is effect (0.30).
