There are no objective morphological criteria for defining normal spermatozoa in human semen. The morphometric diversity in the semen sample may be a useful measure of morphologic integrity. Aim The present study was undertaken to analyze the various parameters of semen analysis in fertile and nonfertile males and to analyze the role of collective parameters in infertility. Materials & Method The study was carried out in the department of anatomy. A total of 200 Semen samples were collected from the patients visiting private pathology laboratories and infertility centers located in and around Vijayawada city. Results In the macroscopic examination no significant difference was noted in infertile couples (experimental) for the parameters liquefaction, appearance, volume, viscosity, and pH when compared with a fertile group (control). In the microscopic examination, no significant difference was detected in agglutination and other cells in both groups. Conclusion The presence of subnormal values in the semen analysis report should not be regarded as a cause of infertility.
