Abstract Telemedicine system within the healthcare organization are gaining momentum growth as healthcare organizations need to cut their expenditure and improve efficiency in health care services to patients remotely. The purpose of this study is to provide insights into factors affecting the adoption of telemedicine in India among Dental health care professionals working in different dental colleges and hospitals. The study proposed a model to explain the adoption of telemedicine by taking 151 dentists from India and incorporating the variables of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, perceived cost, compatibility and trust. These construct explained adoption of telemedicine in delivering the dental services remotely to patients.
