Abstract Background/Objectives This study aims to identify the effects of job characteristics and organizational communication on job satisfaction among dental hygienists. Method/Statistical analysis The participants were 241 dental hygienists in Seoul and South Chungcheong province. The data were collected using a self-report questionnaire and analyzed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. We used a level of significance of p<0.05. Findings Dental hygienists’ job satisfaction was positively correlated with job characteristics and organizational communication (p<0.01). Dental hygienists’ job characteristics and organizational communication affected job satisfaction (R2 =.535, F = 20.113, p <0.001).
