Abstract Agricultural activity in India is considered to be the largest, as it feeds larger population. The application of Internet of Things (IoT) in Agriculture field is acting as an aid to the traditional farmers and inspired youths who are interested in agriculture by assisting them in Organic farming by solving several problems of the producers. The need of the hour is sustainable cultivation and Organic food production with technology support. This study aims at discussing the merits and demerits of the organic and conventional farming methods respectively. It also elaborates the deployment of different technologies like IoT, Cloud Computing and Image processing in various field of Agriculture. It also summarizes the methodologies of IoT applications like monitoring soil fertility, biological pest control, Crop cultivation, animal husbandry and smart irrigation.
