Abstract Background Diabetes is fast gaining the status of a potential epidemic in India with more than 62 million diabetic individuals currently diagnosed with the disease. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes that can cause significant morbidity and mortality. Aims and Objectives The aim of the study is to determine the prevalence of Diabetic Neuropathy in Urban population of Ahmednagar City. Material and Method Study Design is a cross-sectional study in Ahmednagar City. Study Period is from October 2017 to March 2018. Convenient sampling was done. The patients were given a questionnaire which was to be self-administered followed by clinical examination done by the therapist. Results The prevalence of diabetic neuropathy among diabetics was found to be 6.25% for pure neuropathy and is 42.70% for patients with only significant clinical examination. Higher prevalence was found in patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic diabetic patients as well as obese subjects.
