Abstract

Three dairy cattle were presented with history of not passing dung for past three days and off feed for past five days. Rectal examination revealed empty rectum with mucous coated dung particle, distented intestinal loops and also sausage shaped mass in two animals and hard mass in one animal. Ultrasonography examination revealed hyperechoic area in intestinal region. Based on these findings, all animals were diagnosed tentatively as intussusception. Enterectomy and enteroanastomoses was performed through right flank laprotomy and surgically corrected. Animals made an uneventful recovery.
