Online published on 18 April, 2018. Abstract The present study was conducted on an adult Holstein Fresian crossbred and two Jersey cows with history of prolonged gestation for about fifty days. Anamnesis revealed full development of udder, however which gradually reduced nearing gestation. Per rectal examination revealed no foetal movements, very feeble fremitus, tensed uterus with meager foetal fluid and stretching of broad ligaments revealed twisting of uterus on right side. Depending on the clinical signs, the animals were suspected for pre-cervical uterine torsion. The standing approach for caesarean section improved the success rate due to effective drainage of peritoneal secretions and discharge due to gravitational force. Animals recovered successfully.
