Out of these, 18 animals irrespective of species and lactation stage were subjected to surgical treatment by theloresectoscopy. Blood samples were collected from jugular vein before, during and after surgical procedure for evaluation of haemoglobin, total erythrocyte count, total leucocyte count and packed cell volume along with somatic cell count of milk samples collected from affected teats. No significant difference was noted in haematological parameters before, during and after thelorescectoscopy in cows, buffaloes and goats while significant decrease was noted in somatic cell count in all three species on thirtieth day after theloresectoscopy.
