Abstract

Three horses were presented with history of anorexia for last 3–5 days. Clinical examination revealed congested mucous membranes, fever, tachycardia, arrhythmia and tachypnoea. Microscopic examination of peripheral blood revealed presence of motile microfilaria of Setaria spp. Horses were treated with three doses of injection Ivermectin @ 200 μg/kg b. wt. at weekly interval along with supportive therapy. Out of three horses, two horses responded well and uneventful recovery was noticed.
