Abstract

Canines presented with high temperature, inappetance, ecchymotic hemorrhages on ventral abdomen, epistaxis and tick infestation were evaluated for clinical, hematological and biochemical aspects of hemoprotozoan diseases. Ehrlichia and Babesia were the common hemoprotozoan observed. The dogs were treated with Oxytetracycline in ehrlichiosis and Diminazene aceturate in Babesiosis along with supportive therapy to increase platelet count and liver supplements.
