Abstract The present study was conducted on seven dogs tested positive for Babesia gibsoni to evaluate the reliability of Acridine orange staining technique in diagnosing Babesia gibsoni infection in canines. The blood smears positive for babesiosis were subjected for fluorescent staining using Acridine Orange. The study revealed that examination with Acridine orange stain was quick and efficient method in identifying the organisms as compared to conventional methods.
