Post mortem examination of two dead guinea pigs showed fibrinous bronchopneumonia with prominent areas of necrosis and hemorrhages in lungs. Impression smears from infected lungs were subjected to Wright's staining and confirmed as bipolar organisms. All ailing guinea pigs were treated with Ceftiofur @ 2.2 mg/kg b. wt. and other supportive drugs resulting in recovery. Top Keywords Ceftiofur, guinea pig, pasteurellosis, therapeutic management.
