The animals were randomly divided into two groups. In Group l, ring block was performed at the neck of scrotum using 2% Lignocaine hcl, whereas in Group II, linear infiltration of 2% Lignocaine hcl was undertaken on spermatic cord where jaws of burdizzo castrator were applied. To evaluate the efficacy of these two methods assessment of analgesia, clinico-physiological and biochemical parameters were studied. It was concluded that local analgesia undertaken around spermatic cord was superior as compared to ring block. Top Keywords Analgesia, burdizzo, castration, cattle. Top |
