Abstract

A palm squirrel was presented with abdominal distention, hematuria and pollakiuria for past three days. Clinical examination revealed tense and painful abdomen. Ultrasonographical examination of urinary bladder showed thickened bladder wall. Urine culture was positive for Pseudomonas sp. with maximum sensitivity for Enrofloxacin. The squirrel was treated accordingly with Enrofloxacin and Meloxicam for five days and supplemented with multivitamins. The squirrel recovered uneventfully after treatment.
