Abstract

Currently, banking industry is facing challenges to tackle the waves of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in all sectors including Mudra loans which are falling under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In the backdrop of high and increasing the level of NPAs in MUDRA loan scheme, it would be appropriate to examine bankers’ perspectives with special reference to problems experienced by them in managing the concerned loan portfolio and corrective action points for ensuring a good quality MUDRA lending. Towards this end, the paper attempts to carry out an analysis for future lending at micro level under Mudra Scheme.
