Abstract

Maxillary sinus sarcomas are rare group of tumours and may have diverse clinical manifestations depending on the site, aggressiveness and stage of tumor at the time of presentation. Herein, a case of 24 year old male, presented with non specific complain of pain in the right posterior maxillary region is reported. The aim of this report is to highlight the aggressive nature of maxillary sinus sarcoma in the presence of minimal signs and symptoms and emphasising the role of radiographs in reporting the devastating radiological manifestations at its earliest. We consider it important to report this case to contribute to the better understanding and awareness of this rare malignancy where diagnosis can be very challenging.
