Abstract Ectopic eruption of a tooth in the oral cavity is a rare event, with the commonest sites being nasal septum, mandibular condyle, coronoid process, palate and maxillary sinus. Ectopic tooth can be associated with the three distinct processes like developmental disturbance, pathological process and iatrogenic activity.
