Online published on 13 November, 2020. Abstract The yellow mite, Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks) is a major pest of capsicum under protected cultivation. It causes severe damage on under surface of chilli leaves which results in significant reduction of yield. The study was conducted at KVK, Nurmahal, Jalandhar (Punjab) to evaluate different biorationals (botanicals, entomopathogens, horticultural mineral oil, predatory mite along with acaricides) against P. latus. Among all the biorationals, reduction was more than 80 per cent in propargite and spiromesifen against both egg and active stages of P. latus. In egg stage of P. latus, minimum reduction (30 - 40%) was observed in entomopathogens and botanicals while per cent reduction was found to be 42 - 47 due to predatory mite Neoseiulus longispinosus. For active stages of P. latus, per cent reduction range varied from 35 -51 for botanicals, entomopathogens, and N. Longispinosus with least reduction in Horticultural mineral oil (35%).
