Guidelines To Authors

Objectives

LBS Journal of Management and Research is a bi-annual publication. It aims at cultivating kaleidoscopic observations and a rich exchange of ideas among researchers and practicing managers by publishing research papers/articles on various management issues. The journal also seeks to type a balance between theoretical paradigms and business practices through a blend of case studies, surveys and reviews on different aspects of management and other related of economy and business.

Text Preparation

Author(s) must submit three copies of their manuscript with complete contact information, ncluding name, address, telephone, fax number and e-mail address. Manuscript must be clearly typed with double spacing with wide margins in clear and concise English and should be typed only on one side of A4 paper. Authors are requested to submit manuscript of floppy using Microsoft Word or ASCII. The author's name should not appear anywhere on the body of the manuscript should be accompanied with an abstract of not more than 1000 words and a brief biographical sketch of the author on separate sheets.

All tables, charts, and graphs should be prepared on separate sheets. They should be numbered continuously in Arabic numerals as referred to in the text. Wherever necessary, the source should be indicated at the bottom. All charts and graphs should be drawn clearly and legibly. Tables and figures should contain self-explanatory titles. Footnotes, italics, and quote marks should be kept to a minimum for publication in this journals.

Manuscripts submitted for publications in this journal must reflect original work and should not be under submission to any other journal or other such outlet for publication/presentation until our editorial decision is received for doing so from the managing editor.

General outline of papers

The paper should contain the following items in the order mentioned below :

  1. Title, Authors, Author's affilation and full address.

  2. Abstract of not more than 100 words outlining the purpose, scope and conclusions of the paper.

  3. Only those references, which are cited in the text, should be included in the reference list as per the format, given here.

    4. Time sequencing” of references to be used in the body of text.

    5. Alphabetical sequencing of references in the reference section.

  4. Tables (each on separate sheet) should be numbered in Arabic) numerals and should be referred to in the text as Table 1, Table 2, etc. Tables should not duplicate the results in graphs. Graphs to be treated as figure with self-explanatory title.

  5. The graphs should contain the minimum amount of descriptive text and the graph axes should be labeled with variable written out in full, along the length of the axes with the unit in parenthesis.

  6. Figures and illustrations should be on separate sheets.

Review Process

All contributions are reviewed by referees on the “double blind” system, whereby the names of contributors and referees are not revealed to each other. The author would be informed about the decision of the editorieal board within 90 days of the submission, of paper. The final decision on the acceptance of the paper depends on the authors meeting the highest standards demanded by the journal. The final draft will be subjected to editorial amendment to suit the journal`s requirements.

Proofs

Correspondence and proofs for correction, if required, will be sent to the first named author unless otherwise indicated. Proofs must be returned within a week.

Reprints

The author will receive 2 copies of the Journal.
