Abstract Mannich reaction between 6-substituted-2-aminobenzothiazole and 1-(5-substituted-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) ethanone in presence of formalin yield ten new mannich bases. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by UV, IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The analgesic activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated, on albino mice, by hot plate method using acetyl salicylic acid as reference standard.
