Abstract

The state of Kerala has been facing unprecedented floods for the past 3 years that have caused several disasters. The disasters have resulted in blackouts owing to serious network failure. The lack of a robust intelligent communication control system makes it a herculean task to monitor variable factors of flooding. Thus, it is important to design a network that will never fail during such crises and show alertness. This article discusses wireless sensor networks (WSN) and the Internet of Things (IoT) integrated with machine learning under artificial intelligence (AI) methodology. The proposed architecture of the existing networks discusses several practical issues of the integrated systems. In fact, the information from social networks can be used to understand both the end user’s perspective and the warning query context in a better way.
