Abstract Menopause is cessation of menstruation and is an important landmark in a woman's life. It not only represents the end of her reproductive life but is also associated with distressing symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, urogenital problems, mood swings, osteoporosis and increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. Adopting a healthy lifestyle is indispensable for optimal management of Menopause and includes a balanced diet that includes soy rich food, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Calcium & Vit D supplementation along with regular exercise and regular mental stimulation is important for management of other bothersome symptoms of menopause like osteoporosis, cardiovascular and psychological problems.
