Abstract

Forensic science is explored with respect to one of its premiere biometric features i.e., fingerprint in this study. Though fingerprint is one of the oldest form of biometrics but certainly one of the most reliable forms. A lot of explorations have been done in it though the scope to do more always remains. In this regard the ridgeology study has been executed with normal as well as worker class to study if any significant variations were visible and the elemental study in reference to occupational markers of the worker class were also correlated with those of nail and hair samples of the same. Statistical analysis performed provided a significant result to be stated here. In this study significant differences in the results have been obtained for the fingerprints of the workers with those of normal individuals. There is a scope that this would be prospective markers for the occupation
