Abstract

Electronic Banking is an important part of banking industry. It has brought the innovative changes in banking industry in terms of customer and business perspectives. Electronic banking has been implemented in the developed as well as developing countries because it saves people time, reduces costs and people have access to all banking services on the click of a mouse. More often, the new innovated system allows the customers to check and transact their accounts sitting at home using a mobile device or electronic terminals. Electronic banking is today's need as it provides easy way to keep an eye on an account. Almost all the commercial banks in the country have switched to the convenience ways in accessing the accounts of the customers and giving them the freedom for the easy access. Although a lot of studies has been conducted on electronic banking, but very less number of studies has been undertaken to examine the Progress and management of e-banking services in Regional Rural Bank of Kerala. Present study consists of e-banking, evolution, meaning, importance and types of electronic payment systems, prevailing in Regional rural bank of Kerala.
