Abstract

The contents of total phenols, o-dihydroxy phenol, peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase were recorded in healthy and diseased counterparts. The total phenols were recorded higher in diseased plant parts while o-dihydroxy phenols were recorded lower in blight infected plant parts. Enhanced peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase activities were recorded in infected plant parts as compared to healthy counterparts.
