Abstract

The age of preserving the tooth has come a long way. New technology of bioceramic materials, LASERS and resin infiltration for remineralzing and restoring the tooth have given promising results. The role of fluorides, which has been time tested cannot be overemphasized for preventing the caries. Glass ionomer cements and its advances are good for minimally preparing the cavity and restoration.
