Abstract

In the year 1969, the term bibliometrics was first used by Alan Pritchard; he discussed the very new discipline by which quantitative methods were employed to search scientific communication process by measuring and analysing the diverse aspects of written document. The bibliometrics basically involves with counting and categorising the publications of different types. Bibliometrics analysis is a process to establish the relationship between one's work to other research works by mathematical and statistical calculations. The study covers the total number of articles, authorship pattern, subject-wise classification of the contributions, degree of collaboration, subject-wise distribution of articles, country-wise classification, documentary and non-documentary sources of citations and others. The researcher founded that out of that single authorship is predominant in scholarly publication acquires 35% of total contribution. The average rate of degree of collaboration for the period of 2005–2015 is 0.65 which is good. The study shows that the United Kingdom has highest contribution in the journal AJIM, whereas Israel and USA have lowest contribution in the journal AJIM during the period of 2005–2015. The United Kingdom is dominating country with 160 articles (39.02%).
