Abstract This paper presentsthe availability of information technology based resourcesfor providing library users services in the University central Libraries in Hyderabad, India. It deals with 8 university central libraries, Hyderabad city in India. Itpresents the briefprofiles of these libraries. It presentsthe non-print materials such as (soft copy, CD or DVD ROM, Online/webbased resources, etc.) that are available in these libraries to render library services to their users. It concludes that the University Libraries are functioning on sound lines. It also indicates that these libraries have realised the importance of new information technology for the development of their libraries and library services.
