Materials and Method Antimicrobial efficacy of MTA fillapex (Angelus, Brazil) and Endoseal MTA (Maruchi, Korea) against E. faecalis was determined by using Agar diffusion test (ADT). Zinc oxide eugenol was taken as a positive control group. ADT was performed by placing sealers on ten wells of 4 mm diameter and 4 mm height on Muller Hinton agar plates in each group. Plates were then inoculated with standard suspension of E. faecalis and after 24 hours, zone of inhibition was measured around the wells following the standard protocol. Observations and Results Collected data was subjected to statistical analysis which revealed that Endoseal MTA performed significantly better than MTA fillapex and ZOE (Endoflas FS) against Enterococcus faecalis. Top Keywords MTA, Enterococcus faecalis and Endodontic sealers. Top |
