Effect of Metabolites of Trichoderma harzianum and T. viride on Plant Growth and Meloidogyne incognita on Okra
Abstract
Ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of Trichoderma viride and T. harzianum were used for the pot culture studies with different concentrations against Meloidogyne incognita infecting okra. One thousand ppm concentrations of ethyl acetate extracts of both the fungal bio-agents and 1000 ppm concentration of methanol extract of T. harzianum significantly improved various growth parameters of okra, whereas 1000 and 500 ppm concentrations of ethyl acetate extracts and 1000 ppm concentrations of methanol extracts of both the fungal bio-agents significantly reduced total number of galls and nematode population.
