Abstract Integrated approach for delineation of groundwater potential zones has been carried out by using remote sensing and GIS. In the present study groundwater potential zones for the assessment of groundwater availability in Mandavi river basin has been delineated. In India topo sheets and SRTM satellites imageries are used to prepare various thematic maps like geology, geomorphology, slope, lineament Drainage density, soil texture and soil depth were transformed to raster data using feature to raster converter tool in Arc GIS. The raster maps of these factors are allocated a fixed score and weight were assigned using the MIF technique. Finally, the Groundwater potential zones map was generated from the integration of all the raster layers using weighted overlay analysis. Then the study area divided into four categories such as very poor, poor, good and very good and the result depicts the groundwater potential zones in the study area and found to be helpful in better, under study planning and management of groundwater resources in the Mandavi river basin Top Keywords Geology, Geomorphology, Lineament density, Groundwater level fluctuations and groundwater potential zones.
