Abstract This study is conducted to evaluate the influence of female literacy on child sex ratios in districts of Haryana because it is presumed that the female literates can easily understand the consequences of descending sex ratio. Study is primarily based on Indian census data of 2011. Data is processed with simple statistical techniques such as percentage, graphical method and Spearman's correlation method with the help of SPSS software. This paper revealed that Son preference has resulted in a lopsided child sex ratio in Haryana and there is also an interregional variation in the child sex ratios among districts of Haryana.
