Online published on 16 July, 2019. Abstract SRI technology of rice is one of the vital innovations in rice crop management. The present paper focused to know about farmers’ knowledge on SRI technology. This is based on the research work entitled as a study on SRI technology in Cauvery delta region of Tamil Nadu. The response toward knowledge on SRI was collected from 300 SRI farmers. Expost facto research design was adopted to conduct the study. The findings revealed that majority of farmers (71.33%) had medium level knowledge on SRI cultivation practices. While analyzing the components of SRI, it revealed that majority (89.09%) of respondents had knowledge on Seed selection and Planting, 87.62% on Soil and water, 86.08% on Intercultural Operation and 76.55% on Manure. The correlation analysis revealed that age, education, training, social participation, innovativeness and mass media exposure showed positive and significant association with knowledge level of SRI farmers at 1% level of significance. The social participation, extension contact and economic motivation showed positive and significant association with knowledge level of SRI farmers at 5% level of significance.
