Abstract Medicinal plants have been used from old times and are extensively used for the cure of different afflictions and are gaining acceptance among the people of both urban and rural areas of the world. The importance of their genuine usage, therapeutic dosage and role of their agile ingredients in current treatment system are in focus in today’s world. The present study was aimed to investigate the phytochemical evaluation and antimicrobial estimation of Adhatoda vasica commonly known as adulsa in Indian origin. The accomplishment of the development of ideas related to the usage of medicinal plants as well as the evolution of awareness has increased the ability of pharmacists and scientists to respond to the challenges that have come out with the spreading of professional services in abetment of people’s life.
