Abstract

Twenty two genotypes of maize (Zea mays L.) were evaluated for stability over three environments with respect to days to 50% silking, grain yield, plant height, ear height, ear length, ear girth and 100-kernel weight. Mean squares due to genotype X environment were observed to be significant for grain yield, ear height, ear length and 100-kernel weight. Out of the nineteen genotypes tested for their stability, six genotypes viz., EH1, EH5, EH11, EH12, EH18 and EH19 were found to be stable for grain yield and other yield components.
