Abstract The study revealed that cost of milk production from crossbred cow was significantly lower than that from local cow or buffalo. Milk production from local cow was not economically viable due to its low milk yield which was attributable to inadequate feeding and low genetic potential. In milk production from crossbred cow, landless labourers and marginal farmers were more efficient than large farmers. Top |
