Abstract

This article highlights the identity status of adolescent girls of Almora district in relation to socio familial and educational factors. On the basis of empirical evidences, an attempt has been made to show that some of the socio-familial and educational factors, such as family's monthly income, academic achievement and parental education, were found to be associated with the identity status of adolescent girls. Hence, steps should be taken to improve the socio- familial and educational surroundings of adolescents, so that they may be able to reach identity achievement status
