Abstract Field experiment was carried out to investigate the population dynamics of the phytophygous mite Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval) in brinjal during 2013–2015. The maximum adult population of T. cinnabarinus was recorded as 12.80 ±4.33/leaf in the upper zone of plant in April 2014 during the two years. Also, highest immature population (3.40± 1.53/leaf) was observed in the upper zone in April 2014. Multiple correlation analysis of the adults/immatures with abiotic factors indicated significant values at p<0.05 for the adults in lower zone, and immatures being with the middle zone.
