Abstract The experiment was conducted at the instructional farm of Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture of Banda University of Agriculture and Technology Banda, Uttar Pradesh. It was laid out in Randomized Block Design replicated thrice during 2020-21. In this experiment 16 genotypes of marigold namely French: Orange Winner, Valencia Yellow, Dainty Marietta, Pusa Deep, Pusa Arpita, Local Banda Marigold-1, Local Banda Marigold-2, Arka Pari; African marigold: Pusa Narangi Gainda, Pusa Basanti Gainda, Pusa Bahar, Inca -II Gold, Local Banda Marigold-3, Bidhan Marigold-2, Punjab Gainda-1 and Inca Orange were transplanted at 40 × 30 cm distance during November, 2020 for comparative evaluation of various growth, flowering and yield attributes. Uniform cultural practices were followed for all the genotypes. There was a significant difference among the genotypes with respect to flowering and yield traits. Among the French marigold genotypes studied Local Banda Marigold -2, Pusa Arpita and Pusa Deep were found superior in terms of flower and yield parameters and among the African marigold genotypes Punjab Gainda -1, Local Banda Marigold -3 and Pusa Basanti Gainda were found superior for floral and yield characters.
