Abstract

Leaf spot disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. was observed in severe form (24.96%) on Kokum seedlings. Nine fungicides screened against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. were found significantly superior in reducing the growth of fungus in in vitro. Mancozeb + carbendazim (0.25%), propiconazole (0.1%), carbendazim (0.1%), tricyclazole (0.15%) showed 100 per cent inhibition of the fungus. Five bioagents were found significantly superior in controlling the mycelial growth. Maximum inhibition of colony diameter was achieved due to Trichoderma viride. Seven plant extracts were found significantly superior over control. Maximum per cent inhibition was achieved due to garlic (Allium sativum) extract (10%).
