Abstract The substantial researches of 40 years and their efforts have demonstrated that Nanotechnology can be an important tool to improve the permeability of some drugs for the blood-brain barrier. As such there is an urgent need for the development of delivery system due the existence of blood brain barrier small molecules cannot cross BBB i.e. CNS drugs. In order to improve the treatment of traumatic brain injuiry, Alzhemeirs disease, sclerosis, parkisions disorder etc. Here, we review the major advances in the development of nanoparticles for drug delivery to the CNS.
