Abstract The experiment was conducted at Nursery Unit, University Department of Horticulture, Dr. PDKV, Akola during 2015–16 to study the seed germination and seedling growth studies in custard apple. The investigation was carried out with twelve treatments viz. GA3, KNO3, H2SO4, cow dung slurry, cow urine, tap water and control (untreated) which was laid out in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. GA3 at 1000 ppm resulted in the shortest days for germination (10.27days), germination period (5.93 days) highest germination percentage (83.33%), maximum plant height (48.31 cm), number of leaves (32.64), stem diameter (0.926 cm), leaf area (76.42 cm2), maximum root growth, root length (42.25 cm), secondary roots (26.67), maximum fresh and dry weight of plant (28.47 g) and (11.07 g) respectively.
