Abstract

Dermoid and epidermoid cysts are uncommon in the mouth. The incidence in the head and neck has been reported to range from 1.6% to 6.9%. The etiology of these cysts is essentially unknown. Epidermoid cysts are usually diagnosed when a person notices a bump on their skin and seeks medical attention. This case report highlights the presence of rare non odontogenic cyst in the maxillofacial region the occurrence of which is reported to be rare.
